Meredith Vieira was a TODAY show host from 2006-2011. When she became a host in 2006 she replaced Katie Couric and hosted with Matt Lauer. In 2011 Meredith announced she would leave the show. On June 8, 2011 she left being replaced by Ann Curry. She said she still wants to do things with NBC, those "things" are unknown.

Meredith Vieira's first experince with NBC News was the TODAY show. She joind the TODAY show on September 13, 2006 as a host with Matt Lauer. She joined Dateline NBC a day after. She has been traveling alot around the world even though she did not like to. Her first olympics were the 2008 China olympics. Then she went to the 20110 Vancover. She announced she would leave the TODAY show on May 9, 2011 to spend time with her family more. Her last day was June 8, 2011. The day after Ann Curry replaced her.
